I have been a resident of New Windsor for over 20 years. I never had to go to the town hall until a few months ago, when I had the pleasure of meeting Kelly Allegra.
Kelly and her staff were very professional in assisting me in obtaining a temporary six-month handicap sticker for my son. Kelly was very informative on how to renew the permit if my son wasn’t better in six months. I walked out of the town hall feeling valued and very happy to be a resident of New Windsor.
A few months after meeting Kelly, I purchased a business in New Windsor. In the process of completing my liquor license application, I needed a letter from the Town Hall. I went in to speak with Kelly who was very knowledgeable and helpful! Once again, it was a delight to work with her.
When I went to pick up the letter, my husband accompanied me. Upon seeing Kelly, he commented that she is a really good customer at the restaurant where he works.
Kelly supports our local business a lot at lunch time and at dinner time as well. So again, I left the town hall happy, first time as a resident and now as a business owner.
A few weeks ago, NYS liquor authority wanted a letter from the town hall/town clerk acknowledging some changes to the application. Kelly assisted me immediately when I went in, and she was very organized in pulling the original letter. She even made recommendations on writing the address a specific way because of her experience with the address for the shopping plaza where our business is located. I was able to return this request to the liquor authority in a timely manner.
I am subscribed to the New Windsor text alert for the town, and there is such good communication and updates about our town. I will be voting for Kelly Allegra because I know she works for the people with a smile, professionalism, and she’s a valued asset to our residents and small businesses.
