Lands of Rivera will go before public

The Town of Newburgh Planning Board will hold a public hearing at Town Hall on Thursday, February 16 for a subdivision proposal known as the ‘Lands of Rivera’. At the recommendation of legal counsel and additional planning board consultants, the project also received a negative declaration determination by the planning board the same evening.

The engineering firm Doce Associates of Montgomery will be undertaking this project. Engineer Darren Doce returned before the board to request the public hearing following the Town of Newburgh Board’s approval for the three proposed lots to share a common driveway. The overall project proposes a lot line and a two lot subdivision with proposed single family dwellings with a common driveway accessing Rosaline Lane. The applicant currently has an existing home located along Rosaline Drive. The applicant is seeking to subdivide the parcel for his two children.

Jim Campbell of the town’s code compliance office requested that the width of the driveway be expanded to 20 feet in order to be in compliance with the town and fire department requirement.
