I for one will miss the “old” format of the News of the Highlands. As former Historian and President of the Historical Society I saved copies of The News as historical documents of great value and significance. Many “old” papers were donated to the Historical Society over the years and still used for reference.

Mrs. C. Eristoff donated hundreds of the news in ledger form. They are saved for posterity on the third floor of Village Hall. Former Librarian Suzanne Brahm made sure the papers were saved on microfilm.

The newspapers are a collective history of the Village and Town of Highlands and are considered the premier historical documentation of the entire Highlands community.
