Both the Marlboro and Highland 8U Cal Ripken teams advanced to the championship rounds of the Southern new York Tournament.
Marlboro won its first pool game and was leading Poughkeepsie on Friday afternoon on their way to leading Pool A.
Saturday’s games were a single-elimination tournament. The top two teams get a bye into the afternoon semifinals, while the rest of the teams play each other in the morning.
The championship games were scheduled for Monday. Results were not available at press time.
Marlboro opened the tournament with a 17-4 win over New Paltz and Highland lost, 11-7, to Beekman.
In the Greater Hudson Valley Baseball League, the 10U Marlboro Marlins beat the Frozen Ropes Rockies.
In the 13U division, the Marlboro Wildcats split two games, beating the Hudson Valley Renegades and losing to the Generals Blue.
