Local teams began to cruise toward the end of the Greater Hudson Valley Baseball League regular season last week.

The regular season is scheduled to end Wednesday, with the playoffs to begin this week and conclude next week.

Marlboro Marlins 11, Wheelhouse Marauders 10

The Marlboro Marlins scored nine runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to beat the Wheelhouse Marauders on Wednesday at Young’s Park in Milton.

The game was called after the Marlins’ 11th run crossed the plate.

Marlboro entered the fifth inning trailing the Marauders, 10-2.

East Fishkill Patriots Gray 6, Marlboro Marlins 3
The Patriots took the lead in the top of the first inning and never gave it up in a three-run win over the Marlins on Thursday at Young’s Park.

They scored three runs in the first and three more in the third.

The Marlins scored two of their runs in the first inning and tacked on another run in the third.

Wheelhouse Marauders 12, Marlboro Marlins 8
The Wheelhouse Marauders scored three runs in the first inning and added another in the third to take a four-run lead midway through the third inning on their way to a win at Young’s Field on Saturday in Milton.

The Marlins scored two runs in the third, two more in the fifth and four in the sixth. The Marauders scored four more runs in the fourth and four more in the sixth inning.

Beacon Bulldogs 20, Marlboro Marlins 5
The Beacon Bulldogs scored 12 runs over the first two innings and then added eight more in the fourth to score a 15-run win over the Marlboro Marlins on Thursday at Young’s Park.

The Marlins scored three runs in the second inning and added single runs in the third and fourth innings.

The game was called after four innings due to the 10-run rule.

Hudson Valley Hawks 14, Marlboro Marlins 1
The Marlboro Marlins managed only three hits in a 13-run loss to the Hudson Valley Hawks on July 18 at Young’s field.

The Hawks scored six runs in the first inning before adding four each in the third and fourth innings. The game was called after four innings by the 10-run rule.
Marlboro scored a single run in the second inning.

Pine Bush Rebels White 10, Marlboro Marlins 2
The Pine Bush Rebels rode a six-run second inning to a win over the Marlboro Marlins on Thursday at Crawford Town Park.

The Marlins took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Justin Cavanagh scored on a wild pitch.

After Pine Bush scored six runs in the second inning, they added a run in the third inning on a wild pitch. The Rebels added three more runs in the fifth. Cavanagh scored Marlboro’s second run on a wild pitch.

Marlboro Wildcats 6, Mid Hudson Tigers 0
The Marlboro wildcats scored three runs in the sixth on their way to a shutout win over the Mid Hudson Tigers on Wednesday at Marlboro High School.

Aiden Douglass had two hits, two runs scored and two RBIs to lead the Wildcat, while Jackson Sarinsky drove in two runs and scored a run.

Four Marlboro pitchers combines for the shutout.

New Milford Green Wave 7, Marlboro Wildcats 2
The Marlboro Wildcats split a doubleheader with the New Milford Green Wave on Saturday.

Aiden Douglass had two hits and two RBIS for the Wildcats and Liam Correa had a double and an RBI. Alex Cocozza had a hit and an RBI in Game 1.

Shawn DeLaigle and Douglass each had a hit and an RBI in the second game.

Aaron Smith struck out 10 batters in a win over the ER Falcons on July 17.

He allowed only four hits. Owen Schlagler had a home run, three RBIs and three runs scored, while Connor Griffin added a home run, a run scored and two RBIs. Casey and Cooper Vogel each added a home run.
