The Town of Newburgh-New Windsor Minors baseball team advanced to Saturday’s District 19 championship game with a 11-3 win over Pine Bush on Thursday at Watts Memorial Park in the championship bracket owner for both teams. The two teams met again in Sunday with Newburgh winning 10-4.

Newburgh-New Windsor won the tournament’s Bracket A with a victory over one of the two Warwick teams in the tournament. The team started last week with a 1-0 win over Minisink Valley.

It was a rough road for the Newburgh-New Windsor Minors 11U team, suffering two big losses last week.

The team was roughed up, 15-1, by Cornwall to open the tournament and were eliminated by a 27-11 loss to Goshen.

The Newburgh-New Windsor Majors baseball team saw its season end with an early week loss to Minisink Valley.

In the Greater Hudson Valley Baseball League, the 14U Newburgh Red Storm picked up a win over the Valley Pirates.

The 16U team defeated the Patterson Pirates, while the high-school aged team split a double header with the Newtown Blue Thunder.
