Montgomery town board will get update on Food Bank project

The Town of Montgomery will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, July 17 at 7 p.m. in the town hall at 110 Bracken to discuss the Food Bank of Hudson Valley’s new distribution center at 574 Route 416. This project is a 40,000-square-foot warehouse that will replace the food bank’s previous location in Cornwall-on-Hudson once constructed; as of March 7, Baxter Building Corporation finished the facility’s framework. The center was partially funded through the Community Development Block Grant, a program issued by the NYS Office of Community Renewal that provided $10,680,495 of the project’s $23.8 million total cost.

During Wednesday’s meeting, residents can submit feedback and learn more about the project’s construction progress.
