Montgomery Village receives bonus check for a safe year

The Village of Montgomery recently proved another instance of its safety record last Thursday, June 6 after receiving a $4,400.18 check from Comp Alliance, its insurance company, providing a nice bonus that went into the general fund. This check required that the village’s employees go an entire year without sustaining any injuries, thanks in part to following proper safety protocol.

“It basically means that all our employees were safe this year,” said Mike Hembury, mayor of the village. “There were no injuries, everyone followed the rules, the equipment was used properly, and everyone was safe.”

“My number one priority is the safety of our village,” he said. “Receiving the check was a positive thing, but regardless of receiving it, I’m just happy that everyone here is safe.”
