On Friday July 12 at 3:58 p.m., the New Windsor Police Department responded to a reported head-on motor vehicle accident with entrapment on Temple Hill Rd. Upon arrival, officers located three vehicles in the roadway. Two of the vehicles had heavy front-end damage and the operators were pinned in the vehicles. The third vehicle had less serious damage to its rear driver side and its occupants were out of the vehicle.

The entrapped occupants of the vehicles were extricated by personnel from the Vails Gate Fire Department. They were treated on scene by Paramedics and EMTs from New Windsor EMS. The Mercedes Benz continued into the northbound lane and collided head-on with a gray Nissan Rogue, operated by a 66-year-old female from New Windsor. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
