Anthony Burnett won the 400-meter hurdles, leading the Newburgh Free Academy boys’ track and field team to a fourth-place finish at the Section 9 Class A championships on Saturday at Goshen High School.

Monroe-Woodbury won the meet with 164 points.
The girls’ team finished seventh, and the Monroe-Woodbury won that meet as well.

Burnett also finished second in the 110-meter hurdles in 15.80. Anthony Barrett and Devon Pinto were third and fifth in the 400-meter hurdles with respective times of 57.06 and 59.84.

Brady Danyluk and Jordan Hildago were fifth and sixth in the 800-meter run with times of 1:59.89 and 2:00.26.

Devin Batelic was fifth in the 3,200-meter run in 10:21.98 and sixth in the 1,600-meter run in 4:45.66.

David Pinnock was fifth in the 400-meter dash.
The 1,600-meter and 3,200-meter relay teams both finished second. The 400-meter relay team was fifth.

For the girls, Denisha Cruz finished third in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:05.16 and fourth in the 100-meter hurdles in 16.00.

Alyssa Worrell was fifth in the 200-meter dash and sixth in the 100-meter dash with respective times of 27.23 and 12.88. Isabella Delgado was sixth in the 200 with a time of 27.30.

Gabrielle Robles and Jaslene Cheatham were fifth and sixth in the 400-meter dash with times of 1:02.4 and 1:03.48.

Elizabeth Celestin was sixth in the high jump reaching 4-6.
