Henry Goings-Perrot is now a two-time Section 9 boys’ tennis doubles champion.
His partners can’t say the same.

Last year, Goings-Perrot teamed with then-Newburgh Free Academy senior Aarav Shah to win the sectional championship and Goings-Perrot repeated the feat this year with teammate Alex Cestaro on Thursday at MatchPoint Tennis Center in Goshen.

Goings-Perrot and Cestaro had already qualified for the upcoming New York State Public High School Athletic Association championship meet on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the USTA Center in Flushing when they won their semifinal match over Monroe-Woodbury’s Lincoln McConnell and Yuvraj Chandyok, 6-1, 6-1, during the morning session.

They came back in the afternoon session to beat Cornwall’s Ryan Geller and Adam Greher, 6-1, 6-0 in the championship match.

Goings-Perrot and Cestaro opened the tournament with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Highland’s Zach Haeser and Logan Carle. They advanced to the tournament’s second day with a 6-2, 6-2 win over

Washingtonville’s team of J.P. Corini and Logan Coyman.
