Two area teams reached the Greater Hudson Valley Baseball League championship games in their respective divisions.
The 14U Newburgh Red Storm, seeded fourth in their age group’s Division 4 tournament, upended the Nonnewaug Aggies on Thursday to clinch their berth in the championship game.
They were scheduled to face the No. 3 Westchester Elite on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at Rogers Park in Danbury, CT.
The eighth-seeded Newburgh Knights also reached the championship game when they upset the No. 3 Bryn Mawr Bulldogs, 13-3, in the Division 4 semifinals.
The 13U and 15U Newburgh Red Storm teams were both eliminated from the tournaments in the quarterfinals.

No. 8 Newburgh Knights 11, No. 1 Greenwich Evolution 10
The Newburgh Knights scored eight runs in the fourth inning, erasing a two-run deficit as they edged the top-seeded Greenwich Evolution on July 31 in Connecticut.
After their offensive explosion, the Knights led 10-4, but Greenwich pulled to within three runs after four innings and closed to within one run with a two-run fifth inning.

No. 8 Newburgh Knights 13, No. 4 Bryn Mawr Bulldogs 3
The Newburgh Knight scored nine runs in the first three innings to post a blowout win over the Bryn Mawr Bulldogs on Friday in Yonkers.
The Knights scored a single run in the fifth and three more in the sixth to secure the victory.

No. 2 Bethel Wildcats 11, No. 10 Newburgh Red Storm 10
The Bethel Wildcats got a walk-off fielder’s choice as they outlasted the 10th seeded Newburgh Red Storm on July 31 in Connecticut.
The Red Storm came back from a four-run deficit twice to tie the game, once in the fourth inning. They pulled to within a run in the sixth inning and tied the game at 10-10 in the top of the seventh.

No. 4 Newburgh Red Storm 4, No. 5 Hudson Valley Heroes 1
The Newburgh Red Storm scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to advance to the semifinals with a win over the Hudson Valley Heroes.
Malcolm Dillehay doubled and drove in a run, while John Reilly had a hit and an RBI.

The Newburgh Red Storm clinched a berth in the championship game on Sunday with a victory in Connecticut.
They were scheduled to face the Westchester Elite in Sunday’s championship game at Rogers Park in Danbury, CT.
The Red Storm overcame a 3-2 deficit in the third inning with three runs in the third inning to take the lead.
Ethan Meyer and Joey Lynch each drove in a run.

The Newburgh Red Storm saw their summer season end on Wednesday at Delano-Hitch Stadium when the 9er Bulldogs Navy scored two late runs to break a tie and pull out the victory.
