NW police investigate fatal motorcycle accident

On June 21, 2024 at 3:06 p.m., the New Windsor Police Department responded to Bethlehem Road, just South of Mt. Airy Road, for a report of a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, officers located a 35-year-old male with serious injuries. A preliminary investigation determined the male had been operating a motorcycle southbound on Bethlehem Road when he lost control of the motorcycle, resulting in a single vehicle collision. New Windsor EMS responded and transported the male to Kristi Babcock Park, where he was subsequently airlifted to Westchester Medical Center. The Vails Gate Fire Department assisted with establishing the landing zone. The male ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation. New Windsor Police Detectives ask that anyone who may have witnessed the accident, please call them at (845)565-7000.
