It was another rough day at the office for the Marlboro girls’ soccer team, and it continued on September 19 with a 9-0 loss to the Wallkill Panthers at Robinson Field in Wallkill.

The Panthers got goals from Alex Dembinsky, Gabriella Salese, Grace Rodriguez and Abigail Martino in the first half. Samantha Dembinsky, Aoife Brady, and Brianna Merrill added goals for the Panthers in the second half. Giada Post scored on a penalty kick.

Before scoring their first goal, the Panthers had a goal disallowed due to an offsides penalty.

The Dukes had a goal disallowed in the second half when an indirect kick went into the goal without another player touching it.

Marlboro finished the week with an early evening game on Thursday against the FDR Presidents, suffering a 6-1 defeat.

The Dukes opened the season with a 7-0 loss to New Paltz. They also went on the road against Rondout Valley.
