It’s been a banner year for Pine Bush senior Madison Williams.

She won a New York State Public High School athletic association champion over the winter in the long jump, and she not only repeated the feat in the spring, but she also became a state champion in the triple jump at

Saturday’s NYSPHSAA outdoor track and field championships at Cicero-North Syracuse High School.

Williams won the Division I girls’ triple jump with a best jump of 41-9.25. Mya Riquelme finished 18th with a jump of 35-11.75. She also won the Division I long jump, reaching 19-6 on her fifth jump.

Williams came back to win the combined long jump with a reach of 19-8, two inches better than Friday’s best jump. She finished second in the combined triple jump, reaching 39-4.75.

Pine Bush’s Ella Galloway finished fourth in the girls’ pole vault when she cleared 12 feet. She was 32nd in the high jump, clearing 5 feet.

Shaylen Goslar was seventh in the girls’ 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:32.86 and Wallkill’s Caitlyn Murphy was 10th in 4:39.10. Goslar was 10th in the girls’ 800-meter run with a time of 2:11.27 and Nicholas Burgess was 14th in the Division I 400-meter dash with a time of 52.90.

Valley Central’s Catherine Primavera was 23rd in the Division I 200-meter dash with a time of 26.87 seconds.
