The Town of Plattekill will bring residents together for a full day of free family-friendly activities, entertainment and community events during Plattekill Day on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Thomas Felten Park in Modena.
The event, billed as “a day of community, fun and memories,” will feature activities for children and adults throughout the day, along with local vendors, food, live entertainment and public safety demonstrations.
Planned attractions include a Touch-a-Truck event, bounce houses, an obstacle course, a scavenger hunt, and a Power Wheels ride-on track for children. Families will also be able to take part in face painting, balloon animals, coloring and cornhole with police officers.
Public safety agencies will have a significant presence at the event, with an ambulance and fire truck on display, along with a K9 demonstration, drone demonstration and the Ulster County Sheriff’s dive tank.
A car show will also be held during the day, with proceeds benefiting veterans.
Entertainment will include live music and a Wallkill High School talent showcase, while vendors will offer local goods, food and other items for sale.
The event is designed to offer something for all ages while highlighting local organizations, businesses and community groups.
Plattekill Day will be held Saturday, Sept. 19, at Thomas Felten Park in Modena. A rain date is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 20.
Admission is free.
