On Friday, July 12, 2024 at approximately 4:48PM, members of the Town of Wallkill Police Department, New York State Police, Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Orange County Department of Probation and Target Loss Prevention Officers, conducted an initiative which targeted retail thefts in the Galleria at Crystal Run Mall.

Nadeesha M. Reid, 40 of Middletown, NY was arrested after being observed placing various items in a reusable shopping bag and passing all points of sale.

The defendant was charged with Petit Larceny and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property Fifth Degree and issued an appearance ticket to appear at the Town of Wallkill Court on July 24, at 9:00am. “This effort was designed to curb the retail theft in our commercial districts,” said Lt Robert McLymore. “ We will continue to work alongside our partners to identify and address conditions which threaten the quality of life in the Town of Wallkill.”
