It’s been a tough week for area Greater Hudson Valley Baseball league teams as the Marlboro 9U and 10U Marlins each lost a game last week.

The Marlboro Wildcats lost two of three, and the Marlboro Expos split their two games.

Hudson Valley Hawks 8, Marlboro Marlins 4

The Marlboro Marlins rallied from a three-run deficit early with four runs in the second inning, but the Hudson Valley Hawks scored two in the fourth and two more runs in the fifth to pull away to a victory on Thursday at Young’s Field.

The Marlins scored all four of their runs in the second inning.

New Paltz Knights 14, Marlboro Marlins 1
The New Paltz Knights scored eight runs in the first inning on their way to a 13-run win over the Marlboro Marlins on Wednesday at Young’s Field.

The Marlins got their lone run in the first inning.

The Marlboro Wildcats split a doubleheader with the Wheelhouse Marauders on July 9.

Liam Correa had a hit and an RBI in the first game.

The Blue Sox defeated the Marlboro Wildcats on July 11.

Marlboro Wildcats 16, Mid-Hudson Tigers 8
Cole Belcastro had three hits, including a double, scored three runs and drove in four as the Wildcats routed the Mid-Hudson Tigers in a game that was called after five innings.

Colin Weckeman singled and drove in two runs and Max Weckeman added a single, a run scored and two RBIs. Patrick Tarsio also had a hit, two runs scored and an RBI.

Marlboro Expos 8, Cortlandt Nationals 1
The Marlboro Expos picked up a seven-run win on Thursday at Sunset Park in Montrose over the Cortlandt Nationals.

Newburgh Red Storm 4, Marlboro Expos 2

Nick Shala had two hits and two RBIs in the Red Storm’s win over the Marlboro Expos on Friday at Marlboro High School. Aidan Talsma doubled and drove in two runs. Noel Martinez had two hits to ignite the offense.

Aidan Hartwell singled and drove in a run for the Expos.
