Ryan Emig spent the season clearing the way for Miles Brooks, Ryan Durling and Antonio Hickman to fuel the Marlboro Iron Dukes offense, while at the same time harassing opposing offenses, and was named the Section 9 Class B lineman of the year by the Section 9 Coaches Association.

Overall, the Iron Dukes had five other players named to the all-Class B team: Miles Brooks, Antonio Hickman, Jack Drivas, Kadofi Abbot and Ryan Durling. Most played both ways, but Abbot had the most success from on defense at linebacker.

Highland running back James Gescheidle was named to the all-Class B team, along with Joshua Bishop, who did a little bit of everything for the Huskies as they won their first playoff game since 2009 with a 28-14 win over Red Hook on Oct. 27. It also was their first playoff appearance since 2015.

Highland’s Connor Gemmell, Craig Elliot and Logan Ellison also were named to the all-league team, along with Marlboro’s Salvatore Montaperto, Jr., and Michael DiViesti.

Port Jervis’s Anthony Theodore was named Back of the Year, while Raiders coach Damien Striharsky was named coach of the year.
