Senior Center to host health fair

Will Spay Pets will be having their annual fundraiser, a benefit auction and raffle. It will be held on Sunday October 15 at the Maybrook Senior Center, from 1 to 4 p.m. The $5 admission includes a dessert and a beverage. There will be a silent auction, live auction, raffles, 50/50, themed baskets, gift certificates and collectibles. Call 845-857-7657 or email:willspaypets@yahoo.com. Seating is limited.

The Town of Montgomery will be having their annual Bulk Drop Off. It will be held on Thursday, September 21 through Saturday, September 23. It will be at the town garage at 300 River Road from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. It is only $20 per car load, cash only ! Any questions call the Highway dept. at 845-457-2600 option 5.

Montgomery Senior Center Health Fair will take place Tuesday, October 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 pm.

The Montgomery Senior Center is pleased to announce that this year’s Veterans Appreciation Luncheon will take place on Thursday November 16.

Doors will open at 11:15 a.m. The Center, along with the Village and OC Office for the Aging will be hosting the free luncheon for Veterans and their spouses. If interested, please contact Trish Murphy at 845-457-9367. Registration will end once building capacity is met. This has proven to be a very popular event in previous years. We hope to see many of our local Veterans.

The Valley Central High School PTSA will be having a “mums for sale” fundraiser. The mums are $9 for a 9” mum and come in a variety of colors. Order by September 25, pick up will be October 1 at Hoeffner Farms. Proceeds benefit the VCHS PTSA.

Help support the VCHS PTSA and a local farm.

On Sunday, November 5, there will be a Breast Cancer fundraiser featuring Bingo. Hosted by the Rock Wall and Rosemary’s Pub, it will be held at the Spruce Lodge in Montgomery.

Doors open at noon, and the bingo calling will start at 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $65 per person, bingo games and light appetizers are included. A cash bar will be available.

Prizes included designer bags, gift certificates,. There will also be basket raffles, door prizes, 50/50 and more.

The Orange County Farmers Museum is looking for equipment and tractors for a Touch a Truck Show. The show will be held on Saturday, October 7 at the OCFM Swap Meet and Fall Festival. Contact Tom 845-594-9890 or Jennifer at 945-701-5727.

Food truck vendors are also wanted.

The cost is $50 per event space. Lastly, marketplace vendors and swap meet vendors are wanted also. The cost is $25 per event space.
