On June 3, 2024, at approximately 10:45 p.m., the City of Newburgh Police Department received a Shotspotter notification of multiple rounds in the area of 81 Liberty Street.

A victim of a gunshot wound was located at 85 Liberty Street. Responding officers provided life saving measures to the victim, before he was transported to St Luke’s Hospital with life threatening injuries.
