Softball Roundup Hudson Valley Storm continues winning ways

The District 19 softball season ended last week when the Montgomery Little League Minor softball team suffered a 15-5 loss to Cornwall on July 2 at Goshen Little League.

While the little league season ended, the Hudson Valley Storm continued to have success in Greater Hudson Valley Softball League play.

They opened last week with a 19-3 win over Brewster and finished the week with a 17-6 win over the Katonah Blue Storm.

Cornwall scored eight runs in the second inning on their way to eliminating Montgomery from the tournament on July 2 at Goshen Little League.
Montgomery didn’t have any hits in the game but made four errors.

Hudson Valley Storm 19, Brewster 3
The Hudson Valley Storm routed Brewster on June 30 at Markel Field in Brewster on June 30.
The Storm led the game 9-0 before Brewster got on the board with two runs in the second. The Storm also posted eight runs in the third inning. The game was called after four innings by the 10-run rule.

Hudson Valley Storm 17, Katonah Blue Storm 6
The Hudson Valley Storm scored seven runs in the first inning on their way to a win over the Katonah Blue Storm Lightning on Saturday at Wallkill Area Little League.
The Storm added two runs in the second, three in the third. They entered the fourth inning leading 12-6 and scored five runs to end the game after four innings by the 10-run rule.
