Dukes suffer 5-3 loss
in regional final
The Marlboro Iron Dukes stranded seven runners in scoring position as their season ended on Saturday with a 5-3 loss to the Maine-Endwell Spartans in the New York State Public High School Class A regional baseball final at Union-Endicott High School.
Cooper Vogel drove in two runs and Owen Schlagler had an RBI. Tyson Fernandez doubled.
Dan Conrad and Fernandez combined to pitch 3 2/3 innings of scoreless relief, taking over for Liam Correa, who gave up five runs, four earned, in 1 1/3 innings.

Jack Hennessey had a single and two RBIs for the Spartans, who advanced to the NYSPHSAA Final Four.

Southern Ulster FC is looking for girls born in 2009, 2010, or 2011 to join its U16 Lynx team for the 2024-25 season.
