To those who follow Councilman Mazzetti in the papers and on Facebook, I would like to state the facts, not fiction and fabrication.

It has been stated that I “banged” my fist on the table and “shouted” at the top of my lungs. I did bang my fist on the desk and did raise my voice to overcome his ridiculous rant that had nothing to do with the motion on the floor. I decided this had to stop so I did it. He, Mr. Mazzetti, keeps bringing up the Supervisor changing hiring practices for a part time assistant to the bookkeeper and confidential secretary. Those appointments have always been by the Supervisor and the assistant to these 2 positions. This practice goes back to Supervisors Berean, Costantino, Hansut and Pizzuto. Now Mr. Mazzetti has been a councilman for longer than I have but everyone knows I have attended more town board meetings going back Berean’s tenure. No hiring practice has been changed.

Mr. Mazzetti keeps ranting on affordable housing. First his qualification numbers are incorrect. Second, did he somehow forget how long he has been on the board and just recently wants something done about it. The law as written is unaffordable and we would have to hire a Housing Administrator at over $100,000.00 annual salary plus benefits…and he talks about looking out for “taxpayer dollars”.

The Supervisor has stated over and over the new Comp Plan is looking over these issues and trying to come up with a solution. It’s time Mr. Mazzetti starts trying to help solve problems instead of on election year, creating them. I could go on and on but instead I will say, if you read his published list of accomplishments, most of it is stretching the truth and some is pure fiction and fabrication.
