Safe Harbors of the Hudson held its annual fundraising 5K on Saturday, May 11 in downtown Newburgh. A total of 118 runners, walkers, and strollers participated in the 2024 Run for the Green 5K, which raised over $25,000 to support the annual maintenance of Safe Harbors Green, a vibrant park on the corner of Broadway and Liberty that hosts an array of community events and performances throughout the year.

The fastest participants were recognized in the following categories:

Second Place Overall, Female: Amanda Mueller (24:22)

First Place Walking (All Genders): Colleen Turner (35:16)
First Place Strollers (All Genders): Thomas Wappat (31:13)
