Mayor Gagliano, Deputy Mayor Kane, Trustee Carnright, Trustee Braine and Trustee Paliotta:

Last week during the Annual, SKE Firemen’s Fair, the Village of Cornwall Police Department PBA manned a table at the event where children’s bicycles and bike helmets were given away as part of a no- fee raffle.

These bicycles and bike helmets were both donated by Walmart, Newburgh, and additional bicycle helmets were donated by Bryan’s Bikes, Cornwall. Additional bicycles were also purchased by the Cornwall-on-Hudson PBA.

I want to personally thank all officers of COHPD, particularly, P.O. Jonathan Kapczak, Sgt. Robert Ruger and P.O. John Pena, who helped make this event possible and successful.
Both Sgt. Ruger and P.O. Kapczak went to Walmart and Bryan’s Bikes on their own personal time and were able to obtain these thoughtful donations.

Also, P.O. Pena, Sgt. Ruger and P.O. Kapczak also manned the COHPD Booth at the Fair dispensing the free raffle tickets and handing out safety literature/ free gifts to fair attendees.

I’m very proud to say that I have officers who take such pride in the Community and the Department who are willing to donate their own personal time to make such a positive impact on others.

Thank you COHPD PBA for all your time & efforts!!
