The Town of Newburgh Planning Board approved a 52-lot subdivision project to be constructed along Wells and Fostertown Road.
The project, known as Elm Farm in the record, is represented by Pitingaro & Doetsch Consulting Engineers and includes 52 single-family units to be constructed.
Conversations and approval surrounding the proposal and other projects date back to the early 2000s but there was no movement formally made according to the representative.
A map in the record places the proposed subdivision to fall east of Wells Road and south of Fostertown Road where there is mainly a wooded area.
Homeowners also are located to the north and south on the east side of Wells Road.
Planning board records indicate a public hearing was previously held on the project and concerns about traffic impact along the roads prompted a traffic study to be conducted.
Thus a newly proposed traffic study was conducted to update the previous study that was conducted from previous records back in 2002. The traffic study was conducted and results indicated a very minimal traffic impact.
