Valley Central’s Reilly Benson finished 23rd in the all-around to lead all Section 9 gymnasts at the new York State Federation gymnastics championships on Saturday at Clarence High School.

Section 9 finished ninth with a score of 160.775. Section 6 won the team championship with a score of 188.950.

Benson finished with an all-around score of 33.250, tying for 35th in the vault with an 8.0, 26th on the uneven bars (8.375), tied for 32nd on the balance beam (8.025) and 21st on the floor (8.850).

Eleanor O’Neill finished 27th with an all-around score of 31.250. She was tied for 37th on the vault (7.9), 45th on the uneven bars (6.45), tied for 24th on the balance beam (8.450) and 34th on the floor (8.450).

Wallkill’s Marlee McCullough was 39th, finishing 32nd on the vault (8.075), tied for 33rd on the balance beam (7.900) and 17th on the floor (8.950).

Valley Central’s Leah Rieber was 41st, tying for 35th on the vault (8.000), 38th on the uneven bars (7.250) and tied for 24th on the floor (8.775).

Kaylee Benson was 30th on the floor with a score of 8.600. Ella Freeman was 44th on the uneven bars, scoring a 6.675.

Section 6’s Emma Langdon won the all-around championship with a score of 38.575.
