Vendors, raffles galore at PBHS Spring Vendor Fair

Posted

Before summer rises from the Shawangunk Ridge, the Pine Bush High School capped off the current season with its largest event last Saturday, June 8: the Third Annual Spring Vendor Fair, held in the high school’s parking lot and dedicated to Taylor Pierson, the club’s former president who passed away in 2021.

Between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., passersby sifted through 77 vendors specializing in food, apparel, jewelry, home decor, and more. The Interact Club also hosted a tricky tray raffle, in which participants donated money for a chance to win various prizes. All proceeds went to the Taylor Pierson Memorial Scholarship, which will be awarded to a Pine Bush High School graduate later this month.

“It’s absolutely fantastic to see the local community come out and support our local vendors and artists. We really appreciate the support,” said Christina Tudisco, advisor for the Interact Club.

Barring strong wind gusts threatening the vendors’ tents, everyone had a great time buying and selling goods while enjoying music and warm weather.

“It’s been really good here, Christina did a great job setting up the event,” said Craig Narod, a vendor for One Crafty Family, who sold wood-carved decor. “It’s very organized, great weather, and she and the club are very accommodating.”

“We appreciate the kids from the high school coming out and helping us set up and pack up our booths,” said Yesenia Kreeger, co-vendor for Yarn Over Crochet, a crochet business. Her business partner, Colleen Belgiovene, added that the fair had “lots of people, a very calm atmosphere, and great space.”

“It’s been great with an excellent turnout, we love coming home and supporting the high school,” said Deb Buonsignore, a PBHS graduate and co-vendor for Wanderlust, who sold clothing from her pink camper.
