Vikings top Minisink, 12-6
Trevor Mitchetti had two hits, including a double and a run scored, helping the Valley Central Vikings to a 12-6 win over the Minisink Valley Warriors in an Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association Division II baseball game on Wednesday at Valley Central High School in Montgomery.

John Wentink doubled twice, scored two runs and drove in a run and Colin Quinn had three hits, scored three runs and drove in a run. William Quinn had a hit, a run scored and three RBIs. Jon Kelly had two hits, a run scored and two RBIs.
Jason Murphy got the win on the mound, giving up five hits and five runs over five innings. He struck out six and walked three.

Mack Lynch had a hit, two runs scored and an RBI to lead the Warriors.

Panthers rip Sawyers, rally past Dragons
Kyle DeGroat had two hits and four RBIs, leading the Wallkill Panthers to a 15-5 win over the Saugerties Sawyer in a Mid Hudson Athletic League Division I baseball game on Wednesday at Wallkill High School.

Chris Wager added two hits and an RBI and Mason Franklin doubled and drove in two runs. Spencer Freer singled, drove in two runs and scored three times. Niko Mandich had a hit and two runs scored, while Kody Best singled and drove in three runs.

Ryan Mayer got the win with 3 2/3 innings in relief, allowing three runs on three hits with eight strikeouts.

The Panthers opened the week with a 5-4 non-league win over Cornwall on April 9.

Franklin threw three innings in relief, allowing one hit with four strikeouts. He also walked twice and scored the game-winning run.

DeGroat had two hits, an RBI and a run scored, while Mike Daley had an RBI. Wager hit the game-tying sacrifice fly in the seventh inning, while Mandich had the game-winning RBI.

The Panthers trailed 4-0 in the bottom of the fifth and scored three runs.
Richie Roohan homered, doubled, singled and drove in three runs.

Panthers top O’Neill, 14-4
The Wallkill Panthers got goals from eight different scorers in a 14-4 win over the James I. O’Neill Raiders in a non-league boys’ lacrosse game on April 9 at Wallkill High School.

Johnny Canavan led the Panthers (2-2) with four goals and three assists, while Sean Petricek added four goals. Brent DeCoeur had a goal and two assists. Ian Rodriguez and Will Jablesnick each had one goal and one assist. Connor Maruca, Joey Price and Alex DeCastro had one goal each.
Chris McNair and Nolan Turner combined for six saves.
