Amy Rumsey-May of Wallkill, NY, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2026, in Pawling, NY. She was 71.
The daughter of the late Joseph Lilly and Florence Meredith Lilly, she was born February 13, 1955, in West Point, NY.
Amy worked as a toll collector for the NYS Thruway, Harriman, NY. She was an avid crafter. Amy and John loved going on motorcycle rides with their bike club. In the past few years they enjoyed being snowbirds in Florida visiting all their family.
She is survived by her husband John R. May Jr., daughter Sasha Bucala and Christopher, daughter Taylor Rumsey and Louis, granddaughter Shelby Bucala and brother Neil Lilly.
Along with her parents she was predeceased by her infant son Cody.
Cremation will take place privately.
A celebration of her life will take place at a later date.
Memorial contributions in Amy's name can be made to Walden Humane Society.
