Binghamton man charged in assault attempt

On Friday, September 13, 2024, at approximately 3:35 pm, Town of Wallkill Police Officers responded to a reported assault at 265 State Route 211 E.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim, a 64 year old, male, Middletown resident, suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to Garnet Health Medical Center by Town of Wallkill Emergency Medical Services. A subsequent investigation by Detective John Zonneveld resulted in the arrest of Ronald Parker, 58 years old, Binghamton resident.

The defendant was charged with Assault Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon Fourth Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon Third Degree and Menacing Second Degree. The defendant was arraigned by Central Arraignment, Judge John Goldsmith, and was remanded to Orange County Jail with $5,000 Cash, $15,000 Bond and $35,000 partially secured bond bail until his court appearance on September 18, 2024 at 9 am in the Town of Wallkill Court.
