Cellist Alex Prizgintas will present “The British Invasion: A Cello Show of 1960s and 1970s Rock ‘n’ Roll” at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, at the Josephine-Louise Public Library, Municipal Square, third floor.

Prizgintas will explore the history of the British Invasion and perform arrangements of songs including Led Zeppelin’s “Kashmir,” The Kinks’ “You Really Got Me” and The Zombies’ “Time of the Season.”

The classically trained musician combines cello, looping technology and guitar effects to create a full rock sound. His performance incorporates music, storytelling and historical anecdotes about the influences behind the music.

Registration is available at the library’s front desk. For more information, call 845-778-7621 or visit alexprizgintas.com.
