Edwin G. Tillotson, loving husband, father and Pop-Pop, a longtime resident of the area, passed away Monday, May 9, 2022 in Montgomery. He was 93. 

Ed was son of the late William and Irene Tillotson; he was born in Washington Heights, New York City.

Edwin achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in 1944 and then earned the additional honors of Two Palms.He was honored to represent the New York City Boy Scout Council at the presentation of the Silver Buffalo Award to Captain Eddie Rickenbacker in 1944. He was a troop leader, supporting his family’s legacy in scouting. Edwin proudly served in the 42nd Infantry Division (Rainbow) of the United Stated Army National Guard. He was retired from Frank Connell Associates where he was employed as a service technician.

 Edwin was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Montgomery,. He was a master woodworker who enjoyed creating furniture. He and his wife, Marjorie, were avid world travelers and also enjoyed annual trips to Cape Cod, MA. They also frequented concerts and hockey games at West Point.

 Family was everything to Ed. Survivors include his loving wife of 69 years, Marjorie, four children: Suzanne (Phil) Sliwa, Wayne (Denise) Tillotson, Janine (Walter) Hyde, and Kristi (Scott) Kramer, eight grandchildren: Walter, Juliann (Sean), Lauren (Kevin), Erin (Rich), Victoria, Kyle, Courtney & Rebecca, and two great-grandchildren: Keira and Emma. Ed is predeceased by his parents and brother, William “Uncle Bill” Tillotson.

 Cremation will take place privately. A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church at a later date.
