Eileen Stannard of Montgomery passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2024, in Montgomery. She was 92.
The daughter of the late Catherine (Dahl) and James Tierney, she was born October 5, 1931, in New York City.
She was the widow of Walter “Chuck” Stannard.
Survivors include her daughter Karin Jones Howe and her husband Greg of Montgomery, Betty Jean Sturtevant of Fishers, IN; grandchildren Eileen Long (Rich), Shawn Howe (Rachel), Denise Straley (Steve), Allison Sturtevant (Ammon), Darby Sturtevant (Sam), Lauren Sturtevant (Justine); 15 Great Grandchildren; sister Margaret Davis and brother Joe Tierney.
Along with her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her step mother Betty Tierney, brothers Jimmy Tierney and Raymon Tierney, sisters Theresa Mulderrig, Albert Lasway and Dorothy Tierney, and son-in-law Wayne Sturtevant
A Mass of Christian burial was held Saturday August 3,at Holy Name of Mary Church, 89 Union St., Montgomery. Burial was at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Montgomery
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Eileen’s name to St. Jude Chilren’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
