Haunted Hamlet Events in Wallkill

Whether on a leisurely stroll or driving around the hamlet, look for the Halloween inspired artwork created by budding artists for the Art Along the Sidewalk Contest and for homes and business decorated with Halloween SPIRIT. Vision of Wallkill will join the Trunk or Treat festivities coordinated by and at the Wallkill Reformed Church on Saturday, October 28 from 5 - 7 p.m. Continue with the Halloween “SPIRIT” and put your costume on and come by for treats from many trunks.

What to do with all the pumpkins that decorated your porch and yard? Vision of Wallkill invites all Shawangunk residents to bring their pumpkins and jack o’lanterns to the town’s Pumpkin Smash. Or just come to watch on Saturday November 4, 1 - 2 p.m. at the Town of Shawangunk Transfer Station on 267 River Road. In collaboration with the Town Environmental Management Committee, tour the transfer station, learn more about recycling, composting, and how you can help keep Wallkill clean. Hit the bullseye with your pumpkin and win a Stewarts Gift Card for a free ice cream cone.

We welcome your helping hand at our next event or our monthly meeting which will be November 9, 6:30 pm in the Community Room at the Shawangunk Town Hall. With the holidays not too far behind, we will be finalizing the details for Wallkill’s Holidays in the Hamlet event on Saturday, December 2 and the Sparkle & Shine Decorating Contest. Details of these events will be coming soon. For more information, please call/text: 845-527-6230.
