Intergalactic extravaganza returns

Pine Bush is eagerly getting ready for a supernatural experience, as the 11th annual Pine Bush UFO Fair is set to return Saturday June 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

As in past years, the fair will boast a bevy of intergalactic beauties, special speakers and other attractions.

“A lot of what goes on is entertainment,” explained Domanie Ragni, Community Services Director in the Town of Crawford. “We got some new things this year, but mainly we are sticking to what has worked in the past. The whole attraction to the fair is that you can be a part of it. It’s more of a local Comic Con than a street fair.”

The family friendly fair will include various game vendors, food trucks, along with unique arts and crafts available for all who attend.

Fair visitors can also hear live music, and all-day entertainment including: the interactive Alien Game-Show “You Bet Your Asteroid,” and pop-up street performances to keep the entertainment “extra” throughout the entire day.

At the Speaker Tent at 86 Main Street, authors and various public speakers throughout the day will discuss Pine Bush and its paranormal history, and why this area is such a hotspot for UFO sightings.

With all the activities to choose from, there’s one more where attendees can.

“Experience the Mysterious.” The Pine Bush UFO and Paranormal Museum & Gift Shop will be open all throughout the day hosting guided tours.

There are also special visitors who seem to appear out of nowhere.

“Characters suddenly show up walking Main Street and the crowd loves it,” Ragni said. Past special guests who just might reappear this year include characters straight out of Star Wars, Star Trek, Men in Black and Ghostbusters just to name a few.

For the serious side, speakers offer lectures presented by the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) in a tent at 86 Main St. Fairgoers also can take a tour of the Pine Bush UFO & Paranormal Museum & Gift Shop to learn about the sightings and phenomena that make Pine Bush a center for reported UFO activity.
