Mary A. Felter passed way peacefully in her sleep on July 28th 2024 at Garnet Medical Center. She was 89. Mary was born on July 6, 1935 to her loving mother Vincenza Sansalone and her father Vincenzo Sansalone in Tompkins Cove Rockland County NY.
Mary was a hard working loving mother and grandmother who made sure her family taken care of and fed with amazing food. She traveled, loved music and dancing. Mary was very fond of goats and her grand dog Onyx. Mary’s hobbies included crocheting, sewing and making home made cards for her family and loved ones.
Mary worked many years for New York State in the food service for the mentally handicapped. She made many friends while working and continued to make friends along her travels. She lived in Florida for 10 years and in that time had the “best time of her life”.
Mary’s love will live on through her 6 children, William Felter, Ann Marie Wall (Husband Al Wall), Vincent Felter, Frank Felter (Wife Nancy Felter), Terri Heller (Husband Darryle Heller) and David Felter. Mary has 9 grandchildren Eric, Justin, Maria, Amber, Brian, Kevin, Kelly, Meghan and Marshal. She is also survived by her 6 great grandchildren Haleana, Giovanni, Anastasia, Jaxon, Jeremy and Anthony.
Mary’s warmth and kindness will live on through her siblings Sister Francis Tarantino, Brother Nicholas Sansalone and Sister Theresa Sagala.
A Mass will be held for Mary at the Our Lady Of Assumption Church in Bloomingburg NY on Saturday August 10th at 10 am.
17 High St, Bloomingburg. Family and Friends are invited to attend mass. A Private Burial will be held for Immediate Family after Mass. Flowers can be sent to Our Lady of Assumption in Mary’s honor on Friday August 9th from 3 -4 pm for delivery. Arrangements entrusted to the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc.
