Andie Psilopoulos won two events as the Wallkill Panthers girls’ were in fourth place at the Mid Hudson Athletic League track and field meet on Saturday at Rondout Valley High School in Accord.

The event was shortened due to excessive heat on Saturday afternoon and all events were completed with the exception of two pentathlon events for both the boys and the girls.

The Wallkill girls’ team was in fourth place and the boys’ team was in fifth without pentathlon factored in.

It was unclear as of press time whether the pentathlon events will be completed.

Psilopoulos won the 1,500-meter run 5:33.41 and the girls’ 3,000-meter run, picking up 20 of the Panthers’ 51 points. Ava Deguzman was fifth in the 1,500 in 5:49.98

Aaliyah Gaston was second in the 100-meter hurdles in 17.03.

The 400-meter relay team of Gaston, Ava Roper, Giada Post and Arianna Richardson was third with a time of 54.37. The 3,200-meter relay team of Kaitlyn Bonner, Maria Morales, Deguzman, and Psilopoulos was fourth in 12:15.93.

Ruth Weinmann was second in the 2,000-meter steeplechase in 8:33.28.

Arianna Richardson was eighth in the 100-meter dash.
Luke Diemoz finished second in the 800-meter run, leading the boys’ team, which was in fifth place with 45 points when the meet was called. He finished the race in 2:05.31 with Matthew Swider taking eighth in 2:12.11.

The 400-meter relay team of Kaden Campbell, Diemoz, Zion Davis and Reynaldo Robinson was third in 45.79. The 1,600-meter relay team of Josh Craypo, Jake Craypo, Robinson and Diemoz was fifth in 3:50.04. The 3,200-meter relay team of Marco Martini, William Conklin, Matthew Swider, Finnian Reiter was sixth in 10:44.70.

Robinson had a pair of fourth-place finishes in the 100-meter dash (11.37) and the 200-meter dash (23.26).
Jake Craypo was third in the 3,200-meter run in 10:32.67. He also was sixth in the 1,600-meter run in 5:03.04.

Martini was seventh in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 12:08.23.

Nick Keglovitz was seventh in the discus, reaching 136-3.

Daniel DePew was still competing in the pentathlon when the meet was shortened. He still needed to complete the pentathlon high jump and 1.500-meter run. He was in eighth place after three events.
