Panthers roll over New Paltz in opener

Chris Bartolone set a new Wallkill record with six touchdown passes as the Panthers opened the season with a 44-6 win over New Paltz on Saturday night at Wallkill High School.

Aidan Kozireski caught three touchdown passes, while Ryan Rauschenbach scored two touchdowns and Sean Petricek caught one touchdown pass.

Michael Cullen and Kaden Brown led the Wallkill defense.

It was the Panthers’ first win over the Huguenots since 2003. New Paltz had beaten the Panthers four straight times since then.

Ben Gabriel scored New Paltz’ touchdown.
