Paul E. Townsend, of Wallkill, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 27, 2021. He was 82.
The son of the late Emerson Townsend and Edna Jenkins Townsend, he was born January 4, 1939 in Kitts Hill, OH.
Paul served in the Air Force and was an inventory control supervisor for Spence Engineering. He was a member of the Maybrook Baptist Church and he faithfully led a Bible study in their home for more than ten years. Paul was an avid hunter, fisher and golfer, and was a longtime member of the Wallkill Rod & Gun Club and the Orange Lake Fish & Game Assoc. He also enjoyed bowling and was part of the Hoe Bowl Bowling League.
Paul is survived by his wife Elaine at home; daughters Donna Lewis and her husband David of Walker Valley, Linda Horrevoets and her husband Ben of Wallkill and Sharon Townsend of Walden; Grandchildren Jennifer, Allison, Chelsea, Jessica, Michael, Steven, Kaitlin, Jillian
Six Great Grandchildren; Sister Wanda Hardy and her husband Philip of Ohio and brother John Townsend of Kentucky
He was predeceased by his son Paul David Townsend, sister Minnie Mae Kemper, brother Jimmy Townsend and sister-In-Law Charlene Townsend
The funeral service was Saturday, Dec. 4 at Harmony Ministries Baptist Church, Middletown. Burial was in Wallkill Valley Cemetery.
