Robert "Bob” F. Miller, of Middletown, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024 at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was 71.

The son of the late Richard Miller and Doris Crombie Miller, he was born October 21, 1952 in Schenectady, NY.

Robert was a retired investigator for the NYS Department of Transportation, whom also established a consulting business in retirement which was his passion. He was very active in the community of Montgomery. He loved to coach a variety of sports including baseball, soccer, and basketball as well as the “Challenger” baseball team for several years. Bob was an avid golfer, fisherman, and traveler who enjoyed most of his time on the beaches, and in the ocean from New Jersey to Maine. He also enjoyed the Caribbean, and later in life, going on cruises. This past November, Bob celebrated 36 years of sobriety by which he was active in the fellowship for many years. Bob was also known for his baking and cooking, finding joy in making delicious food for those around him.

Those who knew Bob, felt his wisdom, generosity, selflessness, and love for helping those around him. His presence will be sorely missed but his spirit will live on.

He is survived by his son Maxwell Miller, and Alexis "Lexi” Stoner and brother Dick Miller and his wife Diane.

Cremation will take place privately.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
