Trump has definitely crossed the line in his inexcusable, indefensible, despicable remarks at a recent campaign rally in Grand Island, Nebraska. The paramount duty of any public official is to secure the safety of the American people. Trump, in his remarks, has done just the opposite. He has put American people potentially in harm’s way by recklessly politicizing the war with Iran. He has emboldened Iran to target the California cities of Los Angeles and San Diego. It is no coincidence that Trump put a bull’s eye on these two blue-leaning cities. 

In that Nebraska rally, Trump said “ Let them take-let them take out Los Angeles. Let them take out San Diego, “ seemingly suggesting that these blue-leaning cities would be preferable targets for an attack from Iran. It is absolutely eyebrow-raising that Trump is willing to go so far as to encourage human sacrifice, the sacrifice of American lives at his altar of retribution by using the war with Iran as a political weapon. In so doing, Trump has insanely singled out California as the carrot ( tempting Iran ) in his reckless war talk while such lethal recklessness is Trump’s twisted, warp-minded way of giving credibility to the war. Shortly after the rally the White House came out with a statement in an attempt to put a positive spin on Trump’s devilish remarks. To any person of reason, such a spin proved futile.

In response, California Governor Newsom blasted Trump on X calling him “ deranged and dangerous. Donald Trump is now saying to our foreign enemies “ take out Los Angeles and San Diego. “ On FB, San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria said that the city was “ not collateral damage “ and called on Trump to keep the city out of his “ reckless war talk. “ 

People, Trump must not be allowed to continue such madness without consequence. He must be held accountable. The Democrats must, at the very least,  take back the House of Representatives in the upcoming midterm elections. They must win so they can bridle and rein in Trump’s authoritarian insanity. It is quite clear Trump has a total demonic disregard for the sanctity of human life. In the midterms Vote Blue for the sake of our nation’s physical and emotional well-being. Vote Blue like your life depended on it because it just might !!!!
