The Valley Central boys’ swimming and diving team didn’t post any top three finishes when they finished a distant third in an Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association tri-meet on Thursday at Newburgh Free Academy Main.

The Vikings scored 239 points. The Goldbacks won the meet with 514 points.

Although the Vikings didn’t have any top finishes on Thursday, they did post some best times.

Daniel Osekavage finished fourth in the 50-yard freestyle with a personal best time of 24.53 seconds. Lucas Daubel scored a personal best time of 27.07 seconds, finishing eighth. Jacob Thornton was 12th with a personal best time of 37.28 seconds.

Osekavage also finished fourth in the 100-yard freestyle with a personal best time of 55.04 seconds. Lucas Daubel took 11th with a personal best time of 1:04.37.

Alfred Ronaldson finished ninth in the 200-yard freestyle with a personal best time of 2:24.59. Thomas Hill was 10th with a personal best time of 2:34.09 and Ethan McPhillips scored a personal best of 2:53.56 to finish 12th.

Aiden Suchy was 10th in the 100-yard backstroke with a personal best time of 1:14.96, and Lucas Drake was 10th in the 100-yard breaststroke with a personal best time of 1:39.61.
