A couple of local swim teams competed in their own pools last Wednesday night, with Valley Central defeating the Pine Bush Bushmen, 99-75, at their own respective pools.
Swim meets this season are being held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sean Zupko (200-yard freestyle, 100-yard backstroke) led the Vikings with two victories. Nicholas Suchy (50-yard freestyle), Luke Roberts (100-yard butterfly), and Jacob Smith (100-yard freestyle) each had a win for the Vikings. The Vikings swept all three relays.
Tomek Oates (200-yard freestyle), Kaeden Fisher (diving), and Joshua Gallagher (500-yard freestyle) picked up victories for the Bushmen.
The Vikings have won their first three meets and compete next against Washingtonville before finishing the season against Warwick.

The Bushmen opened the season with a win over the Warwick Wildcats, and then lost their next two meets. They’ll finish the season with meets against Goshen and Minisink Valley.
