The Valley Central girls’ swimming and diving team won seven events in Wednesday’s 101-82 win over the Warwick Wildcats at the Valley Central High School Natatorium.

The Vikings also honored their outgoing seniors: Riley Conan, Sarina Edwards, Olivia MacEntee, Victoria Medley, Giannie Restivo, Grace Satriano and Cali White.
White led the Vikings with wins in the 200- and 100-yard freestyles, while Satriano won the 50-yard freestyle and Riley Conan won the 1-meter diving event. Emily White won the 100-yard breaststroke.

The Vikings also picked up wins in the 200-yard medley and the 200-yard freestyle relays. With a big lead, they swam exhibition in the 400-yard freestyle relay, ceding the victory to the Wildcats.

Hailey Wishnia won the 100-yard butterfly and the 100-yard backstroke for the Wildcats. Ciara Kelly (200-yard individual medley), and Sydney McSweeney (500-yard freestyle) also picked up victories for the Wildcats.

The Vikings finished the week on Friday with a 103-81 win over the Minisink Valley Warriors.

Olivia Messing (200-yard individual medley, 100-yard breaststroke) won two events for the Vikings. Kaidyn Thompson (200-yard freestyle), Cali White (100-yard freestyle) and Emily White (500-yard freestyle) all won their events.

The Vikings won the 200-yard freestyle relay. They had the best time in the meet-ending 400-yard freestyle relay but swam exhibition due to the meet score.
