Vikings top Kingston; Panthers, Bushmen lose

Julian Montrevil ran for 110 yards and scored two touchdowns as the Valley Central Vikings got back in the win column with a 24-13 victory over the Kingston Tigers on Thursday at Dietz Stadium in Kingston.

Jayden Orozco threw a 50-yard touchdown pass to Luke Watson. He also ran for 60 yards on eight carries.
Aiden White led the Vikings’ defense with six tackles, two for loss, and two sacks. D.J. Thompson had two tackles and two interceptions. Logan McKenna made five tackles.

The win gave the Vikings their first victory in Class AAA, leaving them with a 1-2 record in the league, putting them in fifth place, a half-game behind the Pine Bush Bushmen for fourth.

The top four Class AA teams will make the playoffs.

It was all offense as the Our Lady of Lourdes Warriors outlasted the Wallkill Panthers in a Class A Division II game in Poughkeepsie.

Drew Kozak ran for nine touchdowns.

Non-league
Warwick 43, Pine Bush 28
Jacob Brown scored three touchdowns as the Pine Bush Bushmen fell, 43-28, in a non-league football game on Thursday in Warwick.
Brown got the Bushmen on the board with a three-yard touchdown run and scored another on a 75-yard run, and Jemire Bey-Dominick ran for a two-point conversion.

Brown scored his third touchdown on an 18-yard run in the third quarter.
Bey-Domnick also scored a touchdown and ran for a second two-point conversion.
Brown finished with 138 yards on 11 carries and Bey-Dominick ran for 138 yards on 12 carries.
