After sifting through applications and evaluating candidates over the last few months, the Walden board found a successor to the village’s treasurer position: Jean Degon, a 36-year resident of the Town of Montgomery and Valley Central graduate. Village Manager John Revella introduced Degon to the public during the board’s March 5 meeting, adding that she’s thrilled to begin working as the new treasurer.
“I’m very excited for the opportunity,” Degon said.
