Happy Birthday to Chelsea Millspaugh on July 24! I hope you enjoy your day!
Fr. Amuldass Antony, a Capuchin priest from India, is spending the summer with us at Most Precious Blood Parish. In India, he is actively involved in charitable outreach and administrative ministry, serving the poor and those in need.
Fr. Antony extends his sincere gratitude to Fr. Tom for his kindness and generous hospitality during his stay this summer. He also offers his heartfelt thanks to the Knights of Columbus for their collaboration and support of his mission, the Altar Rosary Society for their kindness, and all the parishioners of Most Precious Blood Parish, Walden, NY, for their warm welcome, friendship, and generosity.
Fr. Antony will visit Staten Island in August before returning to India. Upon his return, he will continue his ministry and charitable works, including:
1. Providing Clean Water: Following the generous support he received during his visit last year, an open well was successfully constructed.
2. Completing the Water Project: He is now seeking assistance to complete the project by installing a Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water Plant, along with solar panels, pipelines, and a water storage tank. This project will provide safe, clean drinking water especially benefiting poor families who lack access to potable water.
3. Soup Kitchen Ministry: He will continue the Thalir Soup Kitchen, inspired by Blessed Solanus Casey, serving the Irular tribal community and other economically disadvantaged families.
4. Solar Street Lights: He hopes to install solar-powered street lights in his community to improve safety by helping residents avoid encounters with venomous snakes and other nighttime hazards.
5. Additional Charitable Works: As resources permit, he will continue supporting children, women, and families through various charitable and educational initiatives.
Please keep Fr. Amuldass and his mission in your prayers. If you feel called to support or collaborate with any of these projects, your generosity would be deeply appreciated. For more information please contact: Fr. Amuldass Antony, OFM Cap.
