The Village of Goshen Police Department has arrested a suspect in relation to an incident that occurred on July 14 in front of Chabad of Orange County, 203 Main St.

Terence P. Davis, 30, of the hamlet of Wallkill, was charged with Harassment first degree as a Hate Crime, an A misdemeanor, Disruption of a Religious Service, an A misdemeanor, Harassment second degree, a violation, and two counts of Disorderly Conduct, both violations. Davis was released on an appearance ticket for August 3, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. in Village Court.

The investigation was conducted, and arrest made, by Detective Robert Kozlowski.

According to the police report, a vehicle was driven past a ceremony that was taking place on the front lawn of the Chabad and the driver screamed obscenities towards the crowd, with law enforcement present. The driver, according to the police report, drove past the site twice during that time period. Photos of his vehicle, a red Subaru, were displayed on the internet.

The Village of Goshen Police Department would like to thank the Hudson Valley Crime Analysis Center for assistance with the investigation and the many local news outlets who circulated surveillance photos of the vehicle involved in the incident, which assisted with the investigation.
